VOCATIONS/SKILLS

​

Swordsman: Marek was trained by his father who formerly was a soldier of the King’s army. Through this extensive training Marek is capable of using his sword exceptionally well.

 

Sorcerer: When he ran into the forest Marek encountered a Sorceress living deep within it. It was there that he lived with her for a number of years and kept her company. In return and through her apprenticeship Marek is capable of using various spells to his advantage in combat.

BACKGROUND

​

Born in a village far to the north of Miras, Marek was the second oldest of four children. As a child he grew up happy and full of life while growing up he came to appreciate, the friends that he gained and the family that loved him. At the age of eight Marek took great interest in drawing and reading various books about great warriors long dead, he even took an interest in swordsmanship and was trained by his father who was once a soldier, for the King's army but he had retired long ago in order to settle down and start a family. At the age of fourteen Marek's happy life took on a change as there was a girl in the village, who took great interest in him and took advantage of his naivete because he believed that she was interested in him, however one night when they were alone in the forest it was clear that the girl was not entirely human and it turned out that she was a Lycanthrope. At this point the young girl only saw him as nothing more than a meal that she wished to devour, luckily for Marek there were hunters in the forest, who saved him however while fighting off the beastly girl he took a few scratches to his upper back, chest and shoulders as well as a bite to his right arm.

 

Over the next following months Marek began to change from being happy young man to simply a loner, though over time his parents began to notice that their son wasn't the same that they had known him to be and did everything they could to lighten his darkened mood. Confused and afraid as to what he would become Marek kept his affliction to himself though one week after his 17th birthday on the night of a full moon and while he slept Marek went through his first transformation and within his monstrous state he killed his entire family. Late the next day he awoke naked and covered in blood and when he stood to his feet, he looked around and noticed the corpses of his brothers and sister littered about the room, Marek ran out into the hallway and into his parents bedroom though when he arrived he found them dead. Now for the first time in his life he was alone and having no idea on what to do, the young boy rushed to his bedroom cleaned the blood from his body and quickly dressed.

 

After getting dressed and collecting what little belongings that he had Marek decided to leave the village, because he was afraid to be near anyone he knew he thought that if he went through the same, monstrous transformation he would kill anyone without a second thought. Soon enough he ran out the front door and into the forest leaving behind the house that he grew up in.

 

It has been eleven years since that time and Marek has grown into an adult though it took him years to come to terms with his curse and he has also perfected, his skill in combat as well as acquiring numerous spells from his encounter with a sorceress named Eirena who lived deep within a forest, she knew of his affliction and she helped him to control it and even now Marek is able to transform at any given time.

 

Since then Marek has arrived in a new town all the while wondering what fate may have in store for him.

WEAPONS AND ATTIRE

​

Longsword: A sword that was given to Marek as a gift from his father and has remained with him since he was eight years old.

 

Claws: Self Explanatory.

​

Normal Attire: When he is not within his armor Marek is seen wearing a complete set of dark clothing as well as dark leather boots.

 

Leather Armor: A near full suit of black leather armor reinforced with layers of hard leather plates arranged in strips along the suit’s midsection. It offers the same level of protection as hard leather armor while proving to be lighter and more flexible as leather armor.

 

Black Tattered Cloak: A simple dark hooded cloak. Marek uses this to hide his form and features from others. Note: Can be worn with either attire.

 

NATURAL ABILITIES

Heightened Senses: As a Lycanthrope, Marek's sense of sight, smell and awareness have become heightened. Thus making him quite exceptional when it comes to tracking, hunting or being hunted.

 

Reflexes: As a Lycanthrope, Marek is able to run swiftly or move fluidly while in combat in either human or beastly form.

 

Strength: As a Lycanthrope, Marek while in his beastly form his strength is enhanced.

 

Regeneration: As a Lycanthrope, Marek is able to heal his wounds or repair broken bone at a moderate rate.

MAGIC

​

Enchant: Marek can summon forth elemental fire or lightning to enchant any weapon that he touches.

​

Claws of Flame: Marek is able to summon forth a ball of fire within his hand and when he swings his arm forward one or three waves of flame arc out towards his foe should they flee they will pursue them.

​

Fireball: Marek is able to summon forth a single campfire sized orb of flame in either hand when tossed will seek out his foe and engulfs them in flames.

​

Hellball: Marek is able to summon forth a single campfire sized sphere of fire or lightning within his hands, when tossed it will remain as an orb until it collides with his foe or a solid surface. Upon doing so flames or electricity will explode in a broad radius consuming all hostile targets in it's path.

​

Light Orb: Marek can summon forth a medium sized orb of light from within his hands when released it will float a few feet away from him while illuminating a wide area around him within a magical light.

​

Rain of Fire: Marek summons forth a shower of fire that rains down small orbs of flame. Anything that the flame touches are instantly engulfed.

 

Flame Strike: Marek summons forth a vertical column of flame that rains down upon his foe.

​

Heal: Marek can channel positive energy into the palm of his hands and whoever he places his hands upon, all of their wounds are healed or their broken bones are mended. He can even cure various afflictions or ailments with the exception of Lycanthropy and Vampirism.
